Q&A with Natasha

Natasha joined us in November 2018, and we asked her about her experiences, achievements and her views from the past 12 months. Why did you apply for the role at Essential Wealth? I was excited by the graduate trainee programme which offered a comprehensive career path and progression within the company. From my first interview, I felt that I would be supported to grow as I gained experience and qualifications. During the latter part of the recruitment process, I was given the opportunity to meet the team and this was so valuable for me. How have you found your first year?   I have really enjoyed my first year at Essential Wealth and the progress I have made. Everyone made me feel welcome from day one and it’s great to be part of a small dynamic team. It has been a huge learning curve and I cannot quite believe how much I have learnt. I have had the benefit of attending external conferences, seminars, and training courses where industry professionals have shared their knowledge and experience. Every day in the office brings new challenges and a variety of tasks. No two days are the same because no two clients are the same. What have been your biggest achievements? It has been challenging to settle into working full time after university, but I am proud of how much I have achieved. I worked hard to pass four diploma level Chartered Insurance Institute examinations in my first year, and I intend to continue my studies until I obtain Chartered status. It was a huge team achievement when we won ‘Paraplanner Team of the Year’ at the 2019 Professional Paraplanner awards and is definitely one of my highlights this year. What do you enjoy most? I enjoy the variety of my job and applying my analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude towards creating financial plans for our clients. I am thoroughly enjoying gaining the qualifications and learning from my colleagues. It is really satisfying to be contributing towards helping clients to achieve their financial goals and alleviating any stresses they may have about their finances. What are your views on how clients are looked after? Over the past year I have seen countless examples of the team going above and beyond for the benefit of our clients. We deliver a very hands-on, proactive service and our clients trust us to manage their finances and support them with all financial matters. Hannah and Marc have led by example in teaching me the importance of attention to detail. Other comments  I would like to thank all the clients who have let me observe and take notes in their meetings with Sonia. This insight has been invaluable to my learning journey this year and I look forward to meeting many more of our clients in the future.
